August 6 Scripture Reading
Scripture Readings: Psalm 132, Ezra 3-5, Luke 11:1-28
Reflection Verses: Psalm 132:13-14
Reflection: God chose Zion (Jerusalem) to be His resting place forever. It was God’s desire to dwell there. Zion was God’s choice. And as such, God has made every provision necessary for Zion to be His dwelling place forever. In this dispensation, God has chosen to dwell in the hearts of Believers…in us. God has chosen us to be His, and to represent Him in this world. What an awesome opportunity and responsibility.
Prayer: Lord God, Thank You for choosing me. Thank You for adopting me into Your family and using me to represent You to those who do not know You. Lord, You have put Your Spirit in me – which means I have been given me all I need to do what You desire of me. O God, it is my delight to serve You and worship You. Be glorified in me, so that others will know You and worship You as I do… In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
