August 28 Scripture Reading

Scripture Readings:  Psalm 149, Job 14-15, Luke 22:54-Luke 23:12

Reflection Verse:  Luke 22:57

Reflection:  Fear of what man may do is what made Peter deny Jesus. There are times in our lives when our faith puts us at odds with the people of the world. Our faith could cost us our jobs, our friends, the loan that we are seeking or any number of other things. It is in those times that we as Christians must stand firm in what we believe and trust that when all has been said and done we will have brought glory to God in our stand.

Prayer:  Holy Father, help us in those times when we are afraid to stand firm in our faith. Help us to trust You and to never deny You, whatever the cost… In Jesus’ Name I pray. Amen.
