August 26 Scripture Reading

Scripture Readings:  Psalm 147:12-20, Job 10-11, Luke 22:1-30

Reflection Verse:  Luke 22:7

Reflection:  In today’s text, it is the day that the Passover Lamb had to be killed. The day had come for the Prophetic Word to become reality. The moment in time had come when Jesus, in His role as the Passover Lamb would be killed. God set that day from the foundation of the world. Thank God for that day! Now, that Prophetic Word has become the defining historical event that allows us to be reconciled to God. Our lives are forever changed because of this event.

Prayer:  Eternal God, our Heavenly Father. I am thankful that I have believed on Jesus as the Son of God; I believe in His atoning death for my sin, His burial, and His powerful resurrection.  I am a new creation in Him because of my belief and I now live in and for Him, to the glory of God the Father. Thank You, Father, for Jesus’ sacrifice and for Your perfect plan of redemption. In Jesus’ Name… Amen.
